RCC Coronavirus Updates

Updated Thursday, April 2

The impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic is widening continuously. RCC is now closed through June 10 by order of Governor Ralph Northam and Fairfax County Government. Accordingly, all RCC-located offerings for the Spring season are canceled. This includes classes, workshops, drop-in activity, trips and tours, performances and rental activities for the period through June 10. RCC’s Summer Program Guide will not be mailed until the end of May. Registration will not occur until after RCC facilities reopen to the public. Summer camps offerings may be affected by the pandemic, or by FCPS planning. RCC hopes to know how summer camps will be impacted by mid to late-April. All summer camp patrons will be notified as soon as RCC knows more about the summer calendar. We will give patrons information as quickly as possible and as soon as we know the FCPS calendar plans.

Patrons will receive refunds; we ask that patrons exercise patience as this process will take a significant amount of time. Patrons do not need to present a refund request form or email to RCCContact@fairfaxcounty.gov for these canceled offerings; RCC will process refunds in full in chronological order as staffing permits. Patrons may receive calls from RCC staff to obtain credit card information. Refunds for online purchases will be made to the credit card used for payment. If no credit card information is available, checks from Fairfax County Government will be sent to the address of record. We appreciate your patience.

RCC programming in the CenterStage is canceled through June 10.

RCC rentals through June 10 are canceled.

RCC programs - classes, trips and tours, fitness and well-being, and aquatics - are cancelled through June 10.

RCC Summer Concert Series events are canceled through June 10 – we are working with our partners to reschedule or resume the concerts.

Patrons will be refunded; ticket refunds will be for the purchase amount, but because of third party involvement, may take a while – we appreciate your patience. Refunds for rentals will be for amounts paid for affected rental activity. Refunds for classes will be for the full amount for offerings that couldn’t occur and pro-rated for offerings that were interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. It will take RCC staff time to process the refunds and reach patrons affected. Please be patient.
