Reston Community Center once again joins the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and Cornerstones to help families in need for the 2021 Thanksgiving Food Drive. Become a Volunteer Loader on November 23 and/or 24, Volunteer Event Leader or Volunteer Food Sorter on November 25.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

IMPORTANT: COVID-19 Information: Effective on October 11, 2021, all volunteers for RCC must provide the supervisor of their volunteer program with proof of full vaccination. The supervisor will record having seen the proof but no specific record of your vaccination will be retained by RCC. Each program supervisor will need to see your vaccination CDC card or a photo image of that card (front and back) before you will be cleared to participate in the volunteer program of interest to you.

Please note: RCC is using Fairfax County's Volunteer Management System (VMS). Each volunteer must have a separate ID/ logon account, including children under the age of 18. This one-time process will allow you to access all volunteer opportunities from across the County, track hours, create your volunteer calendar and help students meet their community service requirements. Please review opportunities below and click on 'Register' for the opportunity you are interested in.

Children under the age of 14 are welcome to volunteer but must be accompanied at all times by an adult/guardian age 18 or older. Not all volunteers will need to go to the food storage facility. A smaller group of 25 volunteers with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds will unload the truck. Transportation from RCC Hunters Woods to the food storage facility is the responsibility of the volunteer. Closed-toed shoes are required. Register at Fairfax County Volunteer Management System website.
