During the 28th annual Gifts from the HeART exhibit, a benefit for Cornerstones, artists in the Jo Ann Rose Gallery and 3D Gallery at Reston Community Center Lake Anne display and sell original works in watercolor, mixed media, photography, clay, wood and fused glass.

On Saturday, December 5, the entire facility becomes a festive marketplace of crafts, fine art and gifts during the Gifts from the HeART Shopping Event from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Browse tables of original artwork, including ornaments, paintings, notecards, textiles, pottery and jewelry.

All entry and table fees, along with 10% of sales, are donated to Cornerstones to support its work in the community, including the Embry Rucker Community Shelter, the Laurel Learning Center and Community Services Outreach, which provides job counseling, emergency food and youth programs.

More than $25,000 has been raised for Cornerstones since the first Gifts from the HeART exhibit in the Jo Ann Rose Gallery in 1999. In 2008, the Shopping Event was added with several tables of ceramics and other gift items in the gallery, and the event has since expanded to fill every room in the Reston Community Center Lake Anne facility. In recent years, Santa has even made surprise visits.

Join us on December 5 to enjoy art for gift-giving – paintings, photos, pottery, sculptures, scarves, quilts, children’s toys and wall art – in the Jo Ann Rose Gallery, the art studio and all three fitness studios at Reston Community Center Lake Anne from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
