Gaukhar Ainashbekova-Davis, an experienced professional artist who specializes in oil and watercolor paintings, shares a glimpse of her artistic life in “Gaukhar Davis. Retrospective.” Her paintings reflect extensive travels across the world over the past two decades while living in The Philippines, Macedonia, Columbia and Azerbaijan. She has continued to travel and create art in the United States where she currently lives with her husband and two children.

Ms. Ainashbekova-Davis studied at the Art Faculty of the Almaty University in Kazakhstan, a prestigious liberal arts university in the former Soviet Union. Its artistic studies program is very well regarded throughout the region.

Viewers of this exhibit will notice how her diverse cultural and geo-locational experiences have contributed to an eclectic and uniquely personal style of artistic expression. Her paintings combine intricate detail with a daring, emotive sensibility.
