As a registered volunteer with Fairfax County, you are provided with “excess” coverage, which is secondary to any other insurance. As stated above, all volunteers are required to maintain the minimum amount of automobile insurance as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Additionally, all volunteers are covered under Fairfax County’s generous liability policy outlined below:

• Medical Expenses: $50,000
• Automobile Liability: $500,000
• General Liability: $1,000,000
• Professional Liability: $1,000,000 (Provided by Commonwealth of Virginia)
