RCC Celebrates 25 Years of the Reston Multicultural Festival
Applications Now Open for Performers, Artisans and Community Groups for Its Anniversary Celebration
RESTON, VA March 3, 2026 – This year, Reston Community Center celebrates 25 years of its premier Multicultural Festival, a signature event that brings thousands to Reston each fall to experience music, dance, art and traditions from around the world. Applications are now open for performers, artisans, culturally inspired businesses and community organizations to take part in this milestone anniversary.
The 25th anniversary festival will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Reston Town Center. The event features more than 20 performances on three stages, along with interactive street-level programming and the popular Market Street Stroll showcasing traditional crafts, handmade goods and local community organizations. Throughout its history, the festival has presented artists of national significance, including National Heritage Fellows recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts.
“What makes this festival extraordinary is the sense of belonging it creates,” said BeBe Nguyen, RCC’s Executive Director. “For many, it is a moment to see their heritage celebrated and shared. For others, it is a chance to experience something new. Marking 25 years of those moments is incredibly meaningful, and we are excited to welcome the artists and organizations who will help define this anniversary year.”
The Reston Multicultural Festival is intentionally designed to ensure a vibrant, inclusive and family-friendly celebration that brings the community together across cultures and generations.
