RCC COMMUNITY SURVEY NOW OPEN FOR ONLINE FEEDBACK

RCC COMMUNITY SURVEY NOW OPEN FOR ONLINE FEEDBACK (PDF)

RESTON, VA – You can shape the future of Reston Community Center by taking RCC’s 2019 Community Survey online.

The survey is now available online for all Small District 5 (Reston) residents at www.restoncommunitycenter.com/survey; RCC will use other tools to conduct outreach to Reston businesses and employees. The survey is being conducted by the Center for Survey Research at the University of Virginia’s Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service on behalf of RCC. It will explore how the community uses RCC’s programs, facilities and services. Additionally, RCC seeks information about community views on a potential new performing arts venue in Reston.

The online survey will be available August 5 – 31. There are options on the survey site for an alternate language version in Spanish. Paper surveys will also be available at RCC’s Customer Service Desks and in a variety of community settings. Earlier this summer, selected Small District 5 households received a paper survey in the mail. For those receiving the mailed survey who wish an alternate language version in Arabic, Mandarin or Russian, there is contact information in the mailed advance letter to request a paper survey in one of those languages.

“It has been 10 years since RCC did a comprehensive, scientific survey of its constituents. During that time, the population in Reston has changed and is expected to experience major growth as both new residents and businesses come to the part of the community that is now served by Metro’s Silver Line,” said RCC Executive Director Leila Gordon. “RCC wants to know how people recreate, enjoy arts and culture, obtain information about leisure-time options, and what they hope RCC offers – both now and in the future.”

Following the survey outreach, the Center for Survey Research will complete its analysis and will share the results with the RCC Board of Governors and the community. Anyone with questions regarding the Community Survey can send an email to surveys3@virginia.edu or Leila.Gordon@fairfaxcounty.gov.
