RESTON COMMUNITY CENTER TO HOST PREFERENCE POLL CANDIDATE FORUM ON SEPTEMBER 1
Voting begins September 4
RESTON, VA – August 25, 2026 – Reston Community Center (RCC) will host the 2026 Preference Poll Candidate Forum on Tuesday, September 1, giving Reston residents an opportunity to learn more about the candidates seeking appointment to the RCC Board of Governors. This year’s Preference Poll will fill three positions for three-year terms.

WHY:
The Candidate Forum gives community members an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and learn more about those seeking to represent them on the RCC Board of Governors. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors established the RCC Board of Governors to represent the interests of the taxpayers of Small District 5 in establishing policies and providing financial oversight of RCC. Board appointments are made by the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors after voters make their preferences known through the annual Preference Poll.
VOTING INFORMATION:
Online and in-person voting will take place from September 4 through September 25 at 5:00 p.m.
Mail-in ballots must be received by RCC’s counting agent no later than September 24 at 5:00 p.m.
